How to Register Your Mobile Phone with MDMS

 

Introduction to MDMS:

Mobile phones have become an important part of our lives, serving as our primary means of communication, information, and entertainment. MDMS stands for Mobile Devices Management System (MDMS). It is a system or framework designed to manage and secure electronic devices, particularly mobile devices like smart phones and tablets. The primary objective of MDMS is to ensure the integrity, security, and proper usage of mobile devices within a network or organizational environment.

 
How to see if a mobile phone is registered in MDMS?

- For this, first of all, open Nepal Telecom Authority - MDMS (nta.gov.np) to go to Nepal Telecommunication Authority's MDMS portal.

- Go down there a little and enter your mobile's IMEI number in the box on the left and press the blue button that says 'Search'. If you do not know the IMEI number of your mobile, you can check it by dialing *#06#.

- If your mobile is registered in MDMS then its information is displayed in the popup window. Otherwise, a window with a link will open to proceed with the necessary process for registration with unregistered information.

How to know if the mobile is registered in MDMS?

- First of all, go to Google and search for 'Grey registration nta' and go to the  link Grey listed mobile registration - Nepal Telecommunications Authority (nta.gov.np).

- Now a page will open, in the Mobile Detail section, enter the IMEI number of your mobile (as many as the phone supports SIM card), brand and company name and model number.
If you don't know the IMEI number, dial *#06# to find it.

- After doing this, disclose your name, contact number, PAN number and permanent address in the Personal Information section.
- Now press Proceed to next step (Proceed to next step) at the end.

The newly opened page will show the details you just entered. Check the details of your mobile in it. Remember, the details you have entered cannot be changed after payment.

If all the details are correct, press the proceed to payment button for payment. You will be able to pay the prescribed fee through Khalti, eSewa or Connect IPS.

 After payment, your mobile will be automatically registered in MDMS.
